Water Logged

Elements of design in this picture include reflection, leading lines and rule of thirds. I also like the lighting that falls right in the middle of the picture. It makes a little bit of juxtaposition between the lighted part and the darker part. I like how the rocks and the part of the wood is dry, also a little juxtaposition. I particularly like the rocks under the water which look cool combined with the light.

Bring on the Sun!

I took this picture on the grass in the parking lot. It reminded me that the warm weather is coming and yellow reminds me of that. So yellow represents warmth. This picture turned out well because of the bright sun shining. It has repetition background simplified and some rule of thirds. The camera was set on macro with the fresco filter.

Through the Tunnel of wonders

The tunnel tells all.

Up Up and Away

Faded Flower...

These are my birthday flowers that I received from my father; beautiful aren't they! I was determined to take a picture of them, but as the days went by they soon lose some of their color. When I actually decided to take this picture, the color of the flowers were faded. That is the reason why this particular picture is Black&White, I also cropped and increase the black levels. Something I would change about this picture would be to darken the background on the top right corner a bit more; just to center the attention to the bottom flower.

hella high

I took this picture while one a five hour plane ride to New York. In order to take this picture and get the full view I had to use the panorama setting. This picture contains background included and a birds eye perspective. I did not use edit on this picture. I really enjoy this photo because of the clouds and the blue color on the top of the picture.

Bonfire

Over Spring break I went to Noyo with my friends to make a bonfire and just hang out. I saw the sun was setting and I took this picture. I like this picture because the colors on the sunset. I also like how the logs are arranged and it looks like leading lines.

Look Closely

This photo was taken for the reflection assignment, and it turned out really well. I really like the variety of color that came out. I used selective coloring, increased the saturation, and changed the hue. One thing I would change about this photo is I would have cropped it differently, but overall I am happy with the result.

~Just Chilling at the School Farm~

I like this photograph because this pig was in the right spot for my camera. He was just chilling with his buddies in the crisp morning. I love the way he looks in this photo, with the straw all over his head! It was fun taking this shot of him!

Spring Green

I saturated this picture to bring out the green and blurred the background to put more focus on the shamrock in the middle. I like the contrast between the dark at the bottom and the light on the top.

Savage Lucy

This photo I took of my dog, Lucy, is extremely cute in my opinion. I added the zoom and polarized it a bit because I messed up on the zoom on the right side of the dog. So I disguised the mistake by polarizing it but it is still visible.

Green Trail

I took this picture one afternoon while I was walking around town. I needed a picture of leading lines for my photo class. I had a hard time looking for something that would work and that I would like. I was looking around and came across this long line of bushes. I needed to find the right angle to take the picture so it could look like leading lines. I focused on the front part of the bush instead of the end of the bush. Overall I really like the way the picture turned out.

The Delicacy of a Flower

In this picture I decided to transform this image into something that can be so delicate as a flower in something so rough as a rock and dead plants on the floor. This represents life of something so pure surrounded by something so simple and dead.

Depths of Dreams

Looking into the center of the eye is like looking through an ocean of dreams. The selective color causes the eye to stand out of the photo. It captures the audience's attention to look towards the eye instead of anything else. I really like this image because the color of the eye pops out and it also shows a reflection.

Spring Flower

This picture was taken in the garden at my school. I really like this picture because the flower and the water drops on it stands out. I blurred the background when i took the picture and then made it black and white to make the flower stand out.

Small creek

This picture was taken by the baseball field at my High School. I converted it to gray scale to make it seem more peaceful. I enjoy how the river makes me look beyond the subject and on to the end of the picture.
If I were to change anything I would of aimed the camera slightly higher so it would be easier to see the rest of the creek.I should of left out the scenery around the creek to make the water seem more noticeable.

Spring Raindrops

I really like this picture because it represents how spring is full of rain and new beginnings! I took this in my own yard right after the rain stopped. Everything was so pretty outside with the sparkling raindrops. I wouldn't change anything about this picture.

Fragile

This image shows center of interest and it has a clear focus on the moth. I like how the background is blurred because it emphasizes more the moth and how it is positioned on the green plant. When I see this picture I see frailness throughout the image because a moth may not have a long life but it lives it to the fullest.

Capturing the Momment

One day as my friend was taking a picture I saw that the flower looked really cute in her picture. Then I was curious to see how the flower would look from a different angle so I took a picture of it and without realizing it her hand and her camera were in it. It was accidental but I liked so I kept the picture.

Follow The Road

I took this picture while I was walking one afternoon. I was trying to think of ways i can find a nice picture to use for my photo assignment. The assignment was leading lines and I needed to look for something that represented that. I couldn't think of anything until I was heading back and found the most obvious picture I could have taken. I really like this picture because it captures the audience attention towards the brightness at the end of the road.

Purple Iris

I like this picture because when I first took it, it didn't look like it turned out on the camera screen until I uploaded it to a computer. I'm not sure what makes it so nice looking to me but it has a soft look to it and makes me think of pastels and spring time. It also has a look that it could be bigger than just that since you're almost looking into the flower at its center.
