Spring is here!

I really like this picture because it represents what time of year it is...Baseball! It is spring when everything is lively and blooming. It is really cool how it is framed by the wooden fence looking over the field. If I could change something about this picture it would be that the field would be more in focus.

Abalone Coast

I took this photo at my house earlier this year. i really liked how the colors came out by just changing the exposure and resolution. This is one of my favorite photos I've taken! I love taking pictures of things I find at the beach!!! :)

~Cali with Sunshine~

I love this photograph because of how neat the sun's rays look going through the trees, and past the pump house. I also like how Cali is positioned in this picture, her eye is in just the right spot! The only thing that I think that I should  have changed was to crop out the water tank in the background. I really love this photograph of Cali.

Eye of The World

It's a windy day and I`m standing at Bald Hill Stables on my family ranch. The sun is about to set and i`m looking for a good picture to take of the horses. Since I have always been fascinated by horse eyes, I decided to capture the image of one. This quarter horse, Ping Pong, is a retired racehorse who lounges around the stables with a happy life. This is my favorite picture because it has a story within. I love the way the sun shines off of his coat and I love the reflection in his eye.

Random Hats

I chose this because I made the person in my class get a picture of his hat. I like it because it was the only one that looked good :) .

Is This Real?

I took this picture for my rule of odds project, which was my personal least favorite. It had been pretty frustrating trying to find a good example of rule of odds, so I was happy to find this picture as a good example. I honestly didn't think that this would be that great of a picture, just because it was so spontaneous. What made the picture satisfying to me was how the petals of the flowers changed when I raised saturation. It almost looks like the flowers are fake with the lighting and the saturation. If I could change the picture, I would try to crop it a little tighter so it would focus on the flowers a little more and the effect of the saturation could be seen better.

This collage includes three pictures and a background. It shows two stages of arm movement and a baseball flying through the air. If i were to change anything I would try to create more of an illusion of depth. Unfortunately it looks flat.

Make A Wish

I took this picture while I was walking along the edge of the coast. I found the dandelion and I decided to take a picture of it. I also wanted a pretty background. I held the dandelion up to the horizon and took the picture. The picture came out like I wanted it to and I really liked how the dandelion looks with the background of the coast and horizon. This image shows rule of thirds and center of interest.

Sunny Afternoon

I was walking the dogs one afternoon with my brothers. We walked down this street and I thought it would be a great leading lines picture. I took the picture and I liked how it makes you wonder whats at the end of the fence.

Center of Attention

This was one of the very first pictures I took for this class during the center of interest assignment. I was very pleased with this photo because I followed the assignment and incorporated center of interest into it as well as a little bit of macro. I am really happy with how this photo turned out because I like the color and detail of the flower; however, one thing that I would do differently to make it better is have the whole flower in the frame instead of cropping it so close.

Frozen

This was one of my first pictures that I took in photo in the beginning of the year. It took me a lot of tries to get the picture just how I wanted it with the moth not moving, but I really liked the end result. I like the picture because I feel like I captured a close up picture of something that most people don't get to see for very long. I also like that the picture was blurred in the background and I like the warm colors of it. The picture contains rule of thirds and background simplified. There is nothing that I would change about this picture if I could.

Withstand

I  like the image of strength that comes from a flower seemingly cracking the cement so that it could grow, as well as the slight loneliness of a flower alone with its shadow.

Strong Flower

I took this photo of a flower on a rhododendron plant and did selective color on it. I like the shadows of the leafs in the background the most because it adds definition. There is nothing I do not like about this photo.

The flower

I took this picketer at the high school. it was a nice day. This flower represents the fly life it is eating pollen and it will grow bigger ales some thing eats it. then eventually  this flower will die to be continued.

rust on my lock:(

This is a lock that I found at the Fort Bragg High School. This picture obtains center of interests, blurred back ground. This picture represents humidity in our community that's ruining our metal.

2014

I took this picture at Pudding Creek Beach while taking pictures for the A-Z project. The tide was occasionally low that day so it was hard to get the tide to come prefect so that it was just close enough to my writing. This image contains background included, leading lines, and center of interest.

Day at the Creek

I took this picture a late afternoon. It was a nice sunny day in Fort Bragg. I went to the beach to read a book and walk around. I took some pictures and I liked this one. I like how it shows leading lines with the water going to the ocean.

Just Focus

I like this picture mainly because I liked the macro project in general. I also really like water droplets on certain plants, and how in these kinds of pictures you can see every individual drop, and the reflection they cast off. You see a unique world of water on plants, rather than just water on plants. I would change the picture by trying to get the back in focus, because this is a brighter part of the picture, and there are water droplets on the back. What is cool about this picture is that I had to pour the water on, and I did not expect this result.

Thistle

I took this photo because i like how the spines on the thistle head look. After i had taken this picture and opened it on the computer and noticed the spiderwebs close to the head of the thistle and thought it looked pretty cool. It is a macro photo, which would have been able to been improved if i held the camera a little more stable
.

Capturing the Moment

I really like this because of the strong center of interest. When I took this picture I tried to capture the correct angle so the flower can have a real strong center of interest. All I did to this picture was adjust the contrast, brighten the image and crop the edges. Overall I believe this is one of my best pictures.

Splash

I took this picture after a rainy day. I wanted to get a picture with a splash, so I decided to make it myself by jumping into the puddle while trying to capture it all, and I did. I like this picture because the splash looks like a heart. It has a little bit of leading lines and maybe center of interest.

Web of Life

I
I like this picture because it stands out and you can see the spiderwebs in the middle. I turned up the exposure to make it brighter and so the spiderweb stand out more so it's brighter.

Sunshine & Starbucks

I took this picture yesterday at lunch. I really like how it is like representing spring, also because it is my favorite summer drink, lemonade. This picture reminds me of leading lines, center of interest, and background simplified. I love the fun-loving goodness that this picture portrays. It shows what a happy day it was when I took the picture.

School portables

This is a picture at my school by the portable classrooms. I converted into black and white to make it look more interesting. If I were to change something I would have made it more clear by not having it so black. Some of the buildings are undefined.

Triple Shadow

I took this picture in my kitchen using our measuring spoons. Then I reduced the saturation and increased the contrast so that the shadows stand out more. I like this picture because of the contrast between the bright counter top and the shadows of the spoons.

Inside the Flower

I took this macro photo of a tulip in my house. I really like the sort of abstract, confusing nature it brings to light. I simply made the photo black and white and toned up the yellow a bit. The part I do not like about this photo is the way the stamen is blurry.

Framing the Past

This picture was part of my favorite project, reflection. I really liked reflection because it allows for so much creativity. I think this was "reflected" in most of my pictures for this project. Although I didn't select this one as my favorite picture, I think I would now. In the picture itself, there are several elements of design. For example there is a leading line as well as reflection. I think what makes this picture so unique is the fact that it seems to almost be framing, as the picture seems to be the same as the background. I also liked the filter I put on it, because even though it is a filter, it does not completely alter the picture. I would not change anything about this picture.

The Lone Flower

I went out shooting Monday of this week, alone, and unaware of what to take pictures of. Browsing around campus I went, through the mist and behind the Culinary Arts building, when I saw this flower starting right at me; alone just like me. It had tears all over, it had no friends, until I came along, and snapped a picture of it. I wonder if it still lives there, behind that dark building of sorrow; has it found any friends since my departure? I decreased the brightness of the image to give it more value. This picture consists of Macro, Background Simplified, and  Center Of Interest; I wouldn't change anything else about the image.
